Make a small act of kindness now: Cherry Pill are donating download proceeds of Warm Within to our favourite local charity Rays of Hope.

Warm Within is a song about small acts of kindness. We were inspired to write this song by the actions of the many charity organisations in South Africa, who rally people together to ease the plight of the poor on our frosty winter nights. We used the idea of knitted blankets for the less-fortunate as a metaphor for Warm Within. The sombre mood of the verses gives way to the hopeful and uplifting chorus “Yarn and wool warm the skin/acts of kindness, warm within”. In keeping with the woolly subject we decided to shoot the music video using wool and stop-animation. We have dubbed this style ‘woolimation’.

We released the song on Mandela Day, July 18th, 2017 as part of the 67 minutes campaign that encourages people to devote 67 minutes of their time-one minute for every year of Mandela’s public service-towards making a change for good in the world.

Be the change you want to see in the world!
